We used Naples Tour Service (NTS) in our Naples and Florence port stops. The pick up and drop off was flawless and the tour itself in both cities was outstanding with the tour guide who provided a local’s input into the history of the city and not just the places to see and eat. We tried ItalyTours for our own Rome port stop just to compare tour operators and I’ll honestly tell you it’s so much different. The ItalyTours guide did not say anything in between the drive from the port and Rome. I guess that’s ok if you want to just sleep but for first timers in the given city, it’s nice to know the history and personal point of view from the tour guide. I’ll also add that the private party cost with NTS was about the same if not cheaper than the semi private party cost with ItalyTours. I walked away from the NTS tours with a sense of friendship with the tour guide. ItalyTours was ok but we would expect more from private tour guides. I highly recommend NTS to anyone visiting Italy.
