The town of trulli, unique and unrepeatable, since 1996 has been declared HERITAGE OF HUMANITY ‘from organization linked to’ UN chooses monuments and works of cultural valueby listing them in the WORLD HERITAGE LIST.
The trulli (from the greek late trúlos, dome) are old stone buildings, conical dry, the origins of proto-typical and unique of the central-southern Apulia. The trulli are found around the area of prehistoric times, the foundations of stone huts are dating back to the Bronze Age. Of course Alberobello it is not only the Trulli but it is also the perception of ancient life style and the opportunity to taste the delicious local gastronomy.
