Gastronomic and Wine Tour
In almost all places of our region have kept alive these traditions with folklore associated with their origin, quality of vineyards that have secular origins such as, Aglianico of the Taburno produced in the province of Benevento, Wine of Aversa, the Asprinio Sparkling White in the type forms from the plant breeding Tree Aversana produced in the provinces of Caserta and Naples, the Campi Flegrei wine white and Red types it is normal type, Novello and passed with an indication of the vine: Falanghina, in normal typology and Sparkling White, Piedirosso or “Per ‘e Palummo” Red in the normal types, Reserve, Novello and Raisin produced in the province of Naples.
Wine of the “Vesuvius” Red, White and Rosé Lacryma Christi. Wine of “Castel S. Lawrence” Red White and Rosé with an indication of the variety: Barbera Red types in normal and Reserve Muscat Blanc types in normal Lambiccato and sparkling wine produced in the province of Salerno.
It is then still places like the Amalfi Coast, Cilento, Capri, Ischia, Sorrento, Benevento etc… The area that our company has chosen to give our customers a fantastic tour is the region of Irpinia 1hour 30 min. drive from Naples and exactly the Province of Avellino. This was our choice because the production of wines in this area dates back to antiquity, when Cicero, Pliny and other people praised these wines. Wines produced in this locality are Coda di Volpe, Falanghina, Fiano, Greco, Aglianico, Sciascinoso, many of these wines has also the sparkling wine and the Passito. The Winery that we propose to visit is one of the largest producers of vineyards that have an extension of an area of 35 hectares located on the slopes of the three municipalities which the most important one is Taurasi with his 17 D.O.C.G. wine.
Once you reach the area, the tour will be conducted by a guide, expert and qualified of the world of wine, of course, the first part of the tour will be dedicated to visiting the vineyards with a detailed explanation of how each vineyard is treated according to the type of Grape and timing of maturation. The next step is to see the cellars the process of winemaking, to end up with racking (decanting wine from the fermentation tank into containers where wine will be conserved). It then has the opportunity to visit the wineries to see all the qualities of wine selected, then to pass to the stage as pleasant and relaxing, “LA DEGUSTAZIONE”.
Surrounded by greenery, secular tree of olive groves and vineyards there is an ancient farmhouse that has been restored, leaving intact those which had all its original features, but making it a restaurant with a comfortable and intimate ambient, there will be lunch with a tasting of different types of DOC and DOCG wines with a menu chosen among the many characteristics dishes of the local area such as cheese and olive oil which are produced by them, fresh pasta topped with homemade sauce cooked with local ingredients simple and natural.
It will be an unforgettable tour because by crossing by car, you will see beautiful landscapes surrounded by silence and mystery, and also because you have the chance to taste the wine that the whole world envies us.
